Story
Great Escape is not the most flexible shirt in our collection, but when it’s used well, there’s nothing better. Great Escape is a shirt that embodies the need to live out-of-body every now and then. Sure yoga can give you that. But hey, so can a weekend bender in Vegas. You pack Great Escape for that exact occasion, when you want to leave your linkedin profile behind, and would rather create a few unique experiences… that won’t end up on linkedin.
Cut from a fine two-ply black and white end-on-end fabric, Great Escape can be dressed up with links, or down on a pair of smart denim. The tall semi-spread collar looks great with or without a tie.

This shirt is fantastic, as was the service. As a guy who's 6'3", 175 lbs, and about 6% bf, I find it nearly impossible to find shirts that fit well. When I first received this shirt (tall/lean), the collar was a bit tight, and I couldn't bend my arms all the way since the fabric was too snug in the upper-arm area. So I exchanged it for the tall/broad. While the longer sleeves and room in the arms was nice, there was a ridiculous amount of room around my waist. At this point I was bummed; apparently even the "shirts that fit" refused to fit me. But, Hugh & Crye's rock-star service came to the rescue. They called me and spent multiple long phone conversations talking through the fit problems with me and even had me send a picture of myself so they could get a better idea of how to correct the problems. I could tell that they actually CARED. When the next batch of shirts came out, they sent me a new tall/lean, and it felt like a custom-made shirt. It fits perfectly around the waist, and the sleeves are just long enough that my arms don't look freaky. The color is very rich, but not loud at all. I think the Great Escape is a bit more versatile than the description makes it seem, but then again, I may be able to get away with a bit more as an artist and Web developer. Thanks, Hugh & Crye, for allowing me to finally look good in dress shirts!
