The Regent is a part of our Professionals Collection, a series of elegant dress shirts in understated blue and white patterns inspired by the historic tailors and craftsmen of London. Cut from a rich blue bengal stripe fabric, the Regent features a traditional semi-spread collar and convertible cuffs which can be worn with or without cufflinks. Two-ply Egyptian cotton makes for one incredibly comfortable dress shirt you’ll want to wear well beyond 9-5. Fitted with back darts and our signature Hugh & Crye sizing, our Professional shirts may just be better than bespoke.

  • H&C semi-spread collar
  • 100% two-ply Egyptian cotton from the renowned Italian mill, Tessitura Monti
  • Environmentally safe fabric - with easy care finish for easy ironing
  • H&C convertible cuffs
  • Box placket
  • Two back darts
  • Contrast gussets
  • 3" from point to point when collar is buttoned, perfect for a collar-pin
  • Contrast gold piping on last buttonhole, which is horizontal

Egyptian cotton is a particular variety that is grown in only a few other places. It is renowned as some of the best in the world. It has an extra long staple, which means it has longer fibers, resulting in a silkier, more durable fabric. Poplin, sometimes called broadcloth, is a plain weave which means the threads alternately cross over and then under each other. This results in a very smooth and durable fabric that has an almost silky hand feel, particularly with higher thread counts. Also, poplins look very crisp when ironed.

Great Shirt

The shirt is very high quality and fits better than any shirt I own. The neck is a bit tight for me but I expected that from the measurements. The shirt looks STUPENDOUS on me, definitely making me the sharpest guy in the room.

Haha, awesome. Thanks for sharing, Ean. -Pranav

Tried a different size

I enjoy the fit, but as expected sleeves are a little long. I'm normally an average Broad but that is a very common size and I'm unable to purchase as many shirts as I would like

Great shirt

Looks great, feels great. I usually have a hard time finding shirts that are long enough in the torso without being too baggy in the sleeves. This shirt feels perfect in both places.

Great shirt, some persnickety items for the discerning gent

The fit is good to fantastic, and the fabric is wonderful. Two fit items: The neck size isn’t quite what the specs suggest; if you measure it does NOT really come out to accommodate 16.5 “. The other big issue is the construction of the collar: This morning putting on the tie … I got the sharp collar young gents love, but it was almost impossible to turn the collar down. So, so stiff … it’s the fusing. The fusing that’s supposed to be a virtue is … fusing. It’s a trade off. I love the material, I like the idea and concept behind the approach to fit, I am really like convertible cuffs … but the fusing is absolutely a trade off. A-
