The Georgetown is a new edition to our Classics Collection, a selection of timeless dress shirts with crisp collars and refined finishes available in one or more classic colors: white, pink, or blue.

Featuring a semi-spread collar and beautiful 120-count poplin, the Georgetown also includes subtle details such as Convertible cuffs—easily worn buttoned, rolled up, or dressed up with cufflinks—make this shirt suitable for professional and formal occasions as well as post-event unwinding.

This Georgetown shirt is cut from a pure white two-ply poplin cotton fabric.

Design

• Semi-spread collar with removable brass collar stays and MOP buttons
• 100% two-ply Egyptian cotton from the renowned Italian mill Tessitura Monti
• Lightweight 3oz poplin weave
• Environmentally safe fabric - lightly washed for softness
• H&C's convertible barrel cuffs
• Two back darts
• Box placket (front)
• Extra buttons sewn on inner placket
• Contrast gold piping on last horizontal buttonhole

Fabric

Egyptian cotton is a rare variety of cotton that is renowned as some of the best in the world. It has an extra long staple, which means it has longer fibers, resulting in a silkier, more durable fabric. Poplin, sometimes called broadcloth, is a plain weave which means the threads alternately cross over and then under each other. This results in a very smooth and durable fabric that has an almost silky hand feel, particularly with higher thread counts. Also, poplin looks very crisp when ironed.
