Men have a FIT problem.
For ages, brands have been getting it all wrong, using a lazy system of averages to create this linear sliding scale of sizes – XS, SM, M, L, XL, XXL. Have a look at this image below. Each guy would say that if they HAD to pick a standard size from somewhere like J.Crew, it would be Medium. The heights range from 5'5 to 6'3. The weights range from 155 to 195 lbs. This is insane. How could one size fit all of these guys?
The reality is that S/M/L sizing is broken, and we decided to do something about it. By measuring thousands of guys and taking their feedback and preference for what they want in a great fitting shirt, we were able to design a new-to-world sizing system based on body types.
The concept is simple, but so very good. We started from a little office in Washington, DC to winning over customers in all 50 states and over 30 countries. How did we do it?
